I am a Positive Psychology Coach specializing in helping individuals & organizations implement habits for sustainable well-being. Iā€™m dedicated to empowering my clients and helping them build agency. I lead workshops, give presentations, and work with small groups to foster well-being using the tenets of positive psychology.

I learned long ago in my teaching career that the most powerful way forward is to tap into our strengths, to reflect on and showcase stories that show these strengths, and use that knowledge to authentically grow. Positive Psychology is the study of human flourishing - what makes us thrive. Our strengths, and how we understand and lean into them, are an integral part of positive psychology coaching.

I also know that self-awareness of strengths is not enough. We need action. We need tools. We need to shift our perspective, implement practices that develop and enhance our resilience, and tap into ways to grow and change with a purpose we acknowledge is in line with our values and dreams. We employ key tools from positive psychology such as growth mindset, self-compassion, and appreciative inquiry as we move towards greater well-being for all - whether in an organization or as individuals. I am especially interested in the connection between our relationships and our well-being.

My Background

I am a Positive Psychology Coach with certification from the Wholebeing Institute. I earned an M. S. Ed in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Bank Street College of Education in New York, and a B.A. in History from Northwestern University.

The philosophy of a learner-centered education has influenced all of my work. I cultivate a nurturing experience for participants to construct their knowledge and truly make meaning. I design workshops that engage participants and result in lasting change.

I love the principles of positive psychology and am dedicated to bringing them to the mainstream. My approach is influenced not only by the leaders in positive psychology like Martin Seligman, Karen Reivich and Kristin Neff, but incorporates powerful voices and leaders like Daniel Pink, Parker Palmer, Kelly McGonigal, Dan Buettner, Sharon Salzberg, Dan Siegel, Lucy Hone, and often the poetry of David Whyte.

After living in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of Telluride, CO for twenty years, I moved back to the east coast in 2020. I work with clients in-person and remotely.
