Positive Psychology

The Power of Strengths

Studying Positive Psychology was a game changer for me. Since my days as a teacher, I’d known that the most powerful way to help an individual or organization grow was to focus on building from strengths. When we tap into our strengths we’re more connected to the best of ourselves. We make progress more quickly as we develop greater personal agency. Whether my clients are individuals or an organization, identifying strengths first is a key part of navigating towards positive change.

What Matters Most?

Positive Psychology addresses our engagement with life, our relationships, emotions, and sense of purpose. It’s the study of the good, of our best selves, of the positive and most passionate parts of us. It helps us define a life worth living, to step back and determine what matters, and to implement change so we can truly thrive.

Together, we tap into key components of positive psychology - growth mindset, appreciative inquiry, self-compassion, emotional agility, and positive emotions to move forward with authenticity and integrity.

Organizational Well-Being

I’m passionate about working with groups. As a teacher leader my professional development focused on collaboration, and more greatly, how to positively affect school culture. I initiated programs that allowed our staff to tap into the talents that lay within, strengthen collegial relationships, grow our knowledge base, and improve our collective well-being.

I involve key players as well representatives from all aspects of an organization and implement meaningful ways to adopt lasting change. In the pandemic, employee well-being become an obvious priority. I help organizations examine their practices, develop clear goals, and create appropriate plans to empower the people within and enhance the well-being of the organization on an ongoing basis, and with integrity. My workshops and presentations are created with thoughtful research into organizations and their needs. Together, we engage in authentic ways to enhance growth and lay a foundation of greater well-being.
